6. Our legal bases for processing
We process personal data under one or more of the following legal bases:
- Steps before entering into a contract: when responding to an enquiry, assessing a project or preparing an estimate.
- Performance of a contract: when providing an agreed service, arranging collection or delivery, taking payment or providing aftercare.
- Legal obligation: when keeping financial, tax or other records required by law.
- Legitimate interests: for business administration, website security, responding to enquiries, improving services and protecting our legal rights.
- Consent: where consent is required, including the use of non-essential cookies or the publication of identifiable customer information.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before consent was withdrawn.
7. Photographs and project examples
Customers may send photographs of furniture so that we can assess its condition, discuss possible work and prepare an estimate.
These photographs may also be retained as part of the project record, including for restoration planning, progress records, guarantees and aftercare.
We may publish photographs of completed furniture as examples of our work. We aim to avoid publishing customer names, addresses, identifiable people or other information that could identify a customer or their location.
If a photograph or project description could identify you, your home or your business, we will obtain permission before publishing it.
You may ask us to stop using an identifiable photograph in future publications. This will not affect material already lawfully produced or processing required for an existing service or legal record.
8. WhatsApp and third-party communication
Using WhatsApp is optional. You may contact Refurniture by telephone if you prefer.
When you use WhatsApp, your personal data is also processed by WhatsApp and Meta under their own terms and privacy policies. Refurniture does not control how those companies operate their services.
The website may also contain links to Google, Facebook, SiteLaunch and other third-party websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

- Providing the requested service.
- Guarantees and aftercare.
- Managing complaints or disputes.
- Maintaining appropriate business records.
- Meeting accounting, tax and legal obligations.
Financial and transaction records may be retained for the period required by Irish law.

Cookies are small files placed on a device when a website is visited.
The website may use strictly necessary or functional cookies required to:
- Display and operate the website.
- Protect the website against abuse and security threats.
- Remember privacy or cookie preferences.
- Provide requested website functions.
Refurniture uses Tilda’s built-in website statistics in simplified mode. This allows general visits to be counted without creating analytics cookies.
Tilda and its technical infrastructure may still process information such as IP address, browser type, device information, requested pages and security logs to deliver, maintain and protect the website.
At the date of this policy, the website does not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or advertising cookies.
If non-essential analytics or marketing tools are added in the future, this policy and the website’s consent controls will be updated before those tools are activated.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may affect how some website functions operate.
